Our Mission
One Airsoft Cebu started in 2005 as a place where Airsoft enthusiasts local to Cebu could gather to discuss events, equipment, teams, competition, and much more about our local Airsoft scene regardless of their affiliation and beliefs.
With the advent of more affordable airsoft units (ACM brands) there was a renewed interest, players, and games boom around 2004 and 2005, (and still is). OAC forum was created to accomodate this surge via the internet for Cebu players. Since then it's become a resource and portal for Cebu, the rest of the island and other players all over the country. Our aim is to promote and prosper Airsoft as a safe and incredibly fun hobby, as well as an instrument for team building activities.
Since then we've hosted numerous events, had thousands of forum members, have cultivated friendship and cooperation with various other airsoft groups/orgs and communities around the Region.
WHO WE ARE
OAC is NOT a Team...We are an airsoft community composed of a council from several member teams around the city with a unified ideal. ALL ARE WELCOME to Play. Our ethos are Honor, Sportsmanship, and Fun.
Every member is indoctrinated from the start of being honorable, the essence of airsoft gaming. By practicing honor we become better players, (sportsmanship) This is evident in most other competition events that OAC member teams usually gets the "Sportsmanship" Citations. The Fun comes in the airsoft hobby collection as well as when we host/organize airsoft events, and mostly by being honorable in the field.
By practicing Honor, we become better players, by being better players we enjoy more thus having more Fun.
Background
OAC can trace its roots late 2004 when the new ACMs (China made airsofts) first came ashore in Cebu shops. Although airsoft has been played in Cebu since the 1980's it was only the last 4 years that their was a renewed airsoft boom, with the advent of course of the ACMs.
More and more players have joined in with the hobby and played during weekends and sometimes brushing and playing with the "older airsoft organiztions" which was already composed of teams. Thus it was only proper that new individual players organized themselves into teams, and the creation of ACM Cebu was established in early-2005.
ACM Cebu member volume increased in such a short period of time that it naturally imploded because of conflicting views among its member teams. So it broken up into slinter groups.
However, some pioneers of ACM Cebu decided to continue a unified airsoft community, regardless of airsoft kind and type, and created ONE AIRSOFT CEBU airsoft club. Some of the original pioneers are still here today vigorously promoting the One Airsoft ideal - all airsofter are welcome -. Incidently, some of the other pioneers are trickling back to the same ideals.
Today, One Airsoft means all airsofters are welcome to play regardless of which team affiliation they are associated with or regardless of who manufactures your airsoft gun. One Airsoft member teams also follows HONOR, SPORSTMANSHIP, and FUN in all its endeavor.
